Sweet Potato : Beauregard Improved

Sweet Potato : Beauregard Improved
|
Description: Introduced from a virus free clone last season and was phenomenally popular as this is similar to the tubers on supermarket shelves. Tubers tend to be smaller than T65 but have that distinctive salmon orange flesh with a sweeter more pronounced flavour. Culinary uses similar as potatoes - boiled, steamed, baked, fried, mashed or batter fried as 'tempura'. The leaves and tips of young shoots can be cooked as a spinach substitute. Important - We supply 'slips' (cuttings) which may or may not show any root development. This does not matter. Just pot up individually the length of the stem to the base of the leaves (use our sweet potato growing kit) for up to 3 weeks to establish prior to planting out. Full cultural details sent with order. |
